Recombinant Human IL-4Rα/CD124 Protein (C-His)

Measured by functional ELISA. Immobilized recombinant human IL-4Rα binds IL-4, IL-13 and reference anti-IL-4Rα antibody (dupilumab) with EC50 values in the ng/mL range.

The interleukin-4 receptor alpha chain (IL-4Rα, CD124) is the shared gateway of type 2 cytokine signaling: paired with the common gamma chain it forms the IL-4 type I receptor, and paired with IL-13Rα1 it forms the IL-4 type II receptor that also transduces IL-13. Because both cytokines funnel through this single chain, blocking IL-4Rα extinguishes IL-4/IL-13 signaling at once — the mechanism of dupilumab, approved for atopic dermatitis, asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, COPD and eosinophilic disease. The extracellular cytokine-binding domain presented here supports ligand-blocking assays, dupilumab-class biosimilar QC and anti-receptor drug screening across the type 2 inflammation pipeline.
